ERIKKILA EXPANDS TO LITHUANIA

ERIKKILA has acquired Lithuanian lifting equipment company UAB Odvila. The company has four employees and a turnover of approximately EUR 650.000. The seller was Danish Fyns Kran Udstyr, a supplier of lifting gear, steel wire ropes and fibre ropes, hoists and cranes. The value of the acquisition is not disclosed. After the acquisition the company name will be changed to ERIKKILA UAB.

UAB Odvila, situated in Vilnius, Lithuania, was founded 12 years ago, 30. September 1996, and has a solid customer base in Lithuania. The company offers Lithuanian customers a wide range of lifting equipment and cranes.

The acquisition supports ERIKKILA strategy to strengthen its position around Baltic See Area. After the acquisition ERIKKILA will have a local sales and service organisation in Lithuania. ERIKKILA UAB will serve the market and customers in Lithuania and also provide support for distributors in the neighbouring countries. The existing product portfolio of the company will be expanded from lifting equipment to a stronger presence of ERIKKILA own production products such as PROSYSTEM^® Light Crane System and Jib Cranes, ERIKKILA^® Bridge Cranes, produced at ERIKKILA –works in Masala, Finland, and Tallinn, Estonia. Odvila´s Managing Director Donatas Mickus will continue as MD of ERIKKILA UAB.
