Electrical Power and Control Solutions for Light Cranes

Light cranes can be equipped with several power supply options, each suited to different applications:

• Flat Cable Power Supply: A cost-effective and easily retrofitted solution, where flat cables run on plastic cable trolleys inside the crane profile. To avoid restricting trolley movement, one end of the track can be extended to hold the parked trolleys.

• Internal Conductor Rail: Integrated within the crane profile, this system keeps cables protected and out of the way, allowing full trolley and bridge movement. It’s ideal for longer tracks, complex layouts, and systems using multiple hoists.

• External Conductor Rail: Used less frequently, typically in special cases where internal solutions are not feasible.

• Round Cable with Cable Trolleys: A flexible and simple option, especially suitable for shorter tracks and lighter loads. Cables run externally along the track on cable trolleys, offering easy maintenance and installation.

Motorized trolleys and hoists can be operated via pendant control or radio control. Radio control offers greater freedom of movement, while pendant controls are considered robust and less prone to interference. Both systems can be installed together, with the pendant serving as a backup.
